Blub's other-worldly interior design

Pure aluminium and soft tones define

the new project by Daniele Luciano Ferrazzano

Pure materials and organic shapes help create an other-worldly atmosphere within the new waffle store “BLUB”, located in Stuttgart, Germany. Interior and product designer Daniele Luciano Ferrazzano blends futuristic elements, such as untreated aluminium with soft and warm touches. A minimalistic aesthetic is achieved by infusing the idea of the crisp and soft appearance of waffles in colors and shapes. Furthermore, its manufacturing process is interpreted by using metal and patterns which reflect waffle irons.

Entering through glass doors, the customer is invited into a view on mirroring counters in interplay with raw pillars and soft tones of purple walls. The guest is allowed to individually customize the delicious waffle whose imprinted round pattern resembles the shapes of the shop‘s furniture.

The graphical and minimalist character of the interior concept is underlined by the loose letter menu card. The customer can decide whether they would like to take a seat at the swung long table in the center of the shop or alongside the glass façade. A custom-made neon lighting attached to the ceiling frames the center of the shop in a geometric form, that is repeated on the acoustically effective wall. Here, the theme of shaping waffle-irons is incorporated into the panels, generating a composition of different patterns. Beneath these acoustic panels, custom-made shelf and storage units can be found.

The bend aluminium shelves can be used single, in rows or stacked. Its modularity was chosen by Daniele Luciano Ferrazzano so that they can work differently throughout the shop and behind the counter. All of the furniture is laser cut and weld by craftsmen in and around Stuttgart. The textural and natural beauty of shiny and untreated aluminium is celebrated by furniture that is subdued, yet playful and young.
