Design Hunger is an independent online magazine based in Lisbon, founded in 2017 by Gréthel Signamarcheix.

We explore design, interiors, fashion, beauty, travel, gastronomy and lifestyle, with an eye for emerging brands, creative talent, inspiring spaces and places worth knowing.

Curious by nature and always looking for what’s next, we bring together discoveries from Lisbon and around the world; from new designers and independent labels to interiors, hotels, restaurants, exhibitions and the objects that catch our attention.

HOW WE CURATE

Everything featured on Design Hunger is selected by our editorial team.

We look for strong ideas, considered design, personality and originality rather than simply what everyone is already talking about. Many of the places, products and brands we feature are experienced, discovered or seen first-hand by our team; in Lisbon, while travelling and at international design and fashion events.

Our guides and edits bring those discoveries together, making it easier to find the people, places and things we believe deserve attention.

Design Hunger was born in Lisbon, and the city remains at the heart of what we do.

Our Lisbon guides are built from living here: the places we try, return to, recommend and share with friends. Alongside our local perspective, we look internationally for new ideas and creative voices, covering destinations, fairs and events across design, fashion and lifestyle.

Design Hunger Kids is the children’s universe of Design Hunger, dedicated to independent kids’ fashion, interiors, toys, lifestyle and emerging brands.

Alongside our editorial coverage, we follow the international kids’ market through new collections, fairs, brand discoveries and leading industry events.

Gréthel Signamarcheix — Founder & Chief editor

Brand hunter, colour addict and permanently curious. Gréthel founded Design Hunger in 2017 and leads its editorial direction, always looking for the next brand, place, object or idea worth sharing.

Sergi Castro — Co-Founder

Designer, idea maker and resident font obsessive. Sergi shapes the visual universe of Design Hunger and its creative direction.

Behind them is a Lisbon-based team working across editorial, content, photography and social media.

Nastasia Oursou — Editor & Content Creator

Part of Design Hunger’s editorial team, Nastasia works across stories, brand discoveries and digital content, bringing a Gen Z perspective and an always-curious eye to what’s next.
