Kids Fashion World!

The launch of Kids Moda Portugal comes to give visibility to Portugal’s sustainable children’s fashion sector. #Togethertothefuture initiative currently stands for eight sustainable children’s fashion brands.

Driven by the Portuguese organizations CENIT (Textile Intelligence Center) and ANIVEC (National Association of Apparel Industries), Kids Moda Portugal aims to raise the profile of sustainable children's fashion in Portugal on a global scale.

Kids Moda Portugal and its eight member brands – Baby Gi, Knot, Laranjinha, Play Up, Pureté, Snug, Wedoble and Wolf&Rita – seek to highlight the positive impacts that fashion can have on the environment, people and the economy. The initiative is committed to a safer and more sustainable future under the #togethertothefuture movement.

With the unique seal of quality and sustainability associated with Portuguese Production, Kids Moda Portugal (and its eight member brands) was created to increase the international market value of sustainable production. To reach new buyers and distributors, this initiative places particular importance on the B2B growth of its member brands.

As background, Portugal’s textile sector represents one of the country's major drivers of development – with children's fashion as one of its most dynamic branches. According to CENIT estimates, revenue from the children and babies’ fashion sector grew by approximately 6% between 2019 and 2021, and now stands at about 600 million euros.

Kids Moda Portugal is supported by CENIT and ANIVEC and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program Portugal 2020.

To maximize visibility of this initiative, Marlene Oliveira, Head of CENIT's International Unit, will attend the fashion fairs below, taking place in Europe this first quarter of 2023:

Pitti Bimbo (18 - 20 January, Florence)

Playtime Paris (28 - 30 January, Paris)
