Summer vacations are sadly coming to an end for most of us, and that means getting back to work. In order to make the work comeback a little bit more pleasant to everyone we’ve decided to make this article on Alki’s office chairs - which we are totally obsessing over!
For those of you who are not familiar with Alki, it is a furniture workshop born in 1981 in Itsasu, a small village in the Basque Country. Alki was created on the initiative of five friends uniting their ideas, their strengths and their illusions under the status of a cooperative.
With its ancestral and technological know-how, Alki offers a contemporary interpretation of conviviality and distributes its products around the world by participating in the development of numerous spaces. For example, prestigious offices and headquarters such as Quiksilver, Caudalie, MUCEM, or the Louis Vuitton foundation.
Alki’s affective creations, combining oak wood and natural wool started to set benchmarks on the contemporary furniture market.
Amongst their catalogue of beautiful, comfortable and functional office chairs, we had to choose our favorite, which is: Lan. Designed in collaboration with Iratzoki Lizaso, Lan respects both the ergonomic codes of this typology and the Alki universe, characterized by sweetness and affectivity.
