Get to know La Cueva Studio’s
imperfectly perfect ceramics

Part of our motivation to create Design Hunger was to build a platform in which we could share with other design lovers like ourselves all the amazing projects we find amidst our cool hunting. Today we bring you one of these projects, a brand that has won our artsy hearts: La Cueva Studio.
La Cueva Studio is a Spain based ceramic design studio founded by Cova del Campo. We found these amazing pieces while browsing through Instagram and felt the need to know more about them and the creative mind behind La Cueva Studio. So here’s what we’ve found out.
According to an interview Cova gave to iconic 2LG Studio, she started the studio due to a desire of having a project of her own, specifically based on manual work.
The collection that caught our attention the most was Projective Geometry. Projective geometry is a branch of mathematics dedicated to study the relationship between geometric figures and the images that result from projecting this figures into another surface.
The pieces created by La Cueva Studio in this collection are a tribute to this amazing concept originated in architectural drawings from artists of the early Italian Renaissance. Each piece gets a unique aspect since they are all handcrafted, hints of imperfection that make them as perfect as they can be.
The shapes, colors and the set design created by La Cueva Studio in collaboration with Marcela Luna give the collection a divine-like facet we weren’t able to resist.
