PLAYTIME kids fair - Paris July'22
—
Hi, design lovers!
We started July with our usual excitement but with a different flavour; this time we swapped Portuguese toast for French croissants, and we had the incredible opportunity to be press partners of Playtime Fair at the Parc Floral in Paris. Playtime Paris has revolutionised children's fashion and lifestyle industry by bringing together the best brands the market has to offer.
The theme for this year is BREATHE, which is a central focus on human life, from the first breath of life to the exhilaration of excitement which Playtime Paris always deliver.
As a press partner, we had the pleasure of travelling to Paris and spending 3 amazing days at the fair. This edition was/is a huge success, and it was a pleasure to get to see the fair so active and full with the best selection for kids for next summer 2023.
Follow us through the article & discover our full report of our lifestyle coup de coeur, featuring some of our long-time favourites and amazing new brands on the market. We loved it!
This SS’23 edition, we couldn’t be happier to tell you that we had our own Design Hunger stand showcasing our “ideal kids room” together with our favourite products.
Be prepared for our beloved decor, accessories, toys, and a (little bit) of fashion selection! Let’s start:
Sticky Lemon
Masters at using colour blocking in combination with patterns and prints, Sticky Lemon is a Dutch brand founded in 2016. A brand for quirky, happy and outspoken kids, full of personality, offering a variety of accessories from backpacks to socks and jewellery.
The new collection has the coolest staples for the new school year. We have a special love for the mustard tone and their fun prints. pssst! They are celebrating 5 years! Happy 5 Sticky Lemon!
Holi and Love
Colours and prints inspired by Indian craftsmanship (hand block printed) with a Belgian design touch: this is how we describe Holi and Love and its unique style. We are long-time fans of the brand, and just like the previous collections, we are fascinated by their prints. This year, the brand launched a new clothing line (check out the heart jacket and strawberry jumpsuits) to match your home decor. We just LOVE it.
Studio Noos
Studio Noos designs stylish parenthood essentials. Based in Amsterdam, they’re known for a fashion-forward approach to their mini backpacks, baby essentials, and the iconic mom bag, using a range of fabrics from teddy to courduroy in beautiful colours.
Grech & Co
Grech & Co, lives by the “less is more” philosophy. This Dutch brand produces a range of essentials and accessories that will ease your day. Their items uniquely blend the Scandinavian minimalistic design principles with a Californian retro aesthetic. We love their bold colour combinations and joyful patterns.
Capharnaüm
Founded out of a passion for vintage furniture, Capharnaüm is the first marketplace for vintage kids’ furniture. Capharnaüm selects the best antique pieces, restores, customises, and reinvents them to create a one-of-a-kind bedroom for your kids, that evokes our childhood but also combines it with a contemporary and playful aesthetic.
That’s Mine
Discovering incredible brands is one of our favourite things about Playtime.
That’s Mine is an example of this; based in a small countryside village in Denmark, the brand designs kids’ interiors, clothing, and toys. That's Mine products are inspired by everyday parenthood and aim to motivate children to play longer and make parents' lives easier. We enjoy getting to know their prints and patterns with a beautiful, simple, soft style.
Kid’s Concept
A long-time favourite of ours, Kid’s Concept, joined Playtime this season and we were excited to meet them. Kid's Concept creates some of the coolest designs on the market by combining functional toys, children's furniture, and the high-quality design of the one and only Scandinavia.
We loved their creative collection.
The Signing Ant
The Singing Ant founder explored The feeling of Home and designed mats that enrich how families spend time together. The brand created a mat not only for playing but to share moments and create memories. Made from soft, safe padded, vegan leather in a soft colour palette of four earth tones that we loved getting to know better!
Kakapo
Kakapo, inspired by nature and animals, creates unique, playful and educational toys entirely made in France. We loved their wooden toys that highlight little-known animals from around the world, introducing children to the topic of environmental protection in a fun way from a young age.
Les Mini Confettis
Les Mini Confettis wishes to inspire young girls (and boys) to always believe in their abilities to achieve their goals. Les Mini Confettis creates illustrated books for children aged 3 to 7, which tell the stories of remarkable women who followed their instincts, passions, and childhood dreams.
Yaarn
A skill that was passed through generations and created a brand of crochet memories. Yaarn is a family business based in Belgium and collaborates with a social organisation in India that supports local craftsmanship. Born out of the tradition of crochet and the desire for non-plastic toys for their children, Yaarn focuses on detailed design and quality.
Louise et Gabriel
In 2020, Louise et Gabriel was created in response to the belief that toys are meant to awaken children's senses and guide their learning. Louise and Gabriel collaborated with a psychometrician to create non-toxic, washable, toys made of safe materials.
Their soothing colours are beautiful!
MinMin Copenhagen
Congrats to MinMin Copenhagen for winning the MILK lifestyle Award! Their toys, whether for play or as decoration, are not only beautiful but also designed to engage children's development in terms of self-esteem, resilience, and respect for the world around them. We loved their new bath toys.
Koko Cardboards
A brand of imaginative playfulness dedicated to children and parents who value an unplugged childhood. Koko Cardboards creates eco-friendly furniture, toys, and DIY sets with a focus on the environment, using mostly recycled materials. Designed to bring a lot of joy, and creativity, into your child's life.
We have a thing for the dinosaur head!
Konges Sløjd
We were excited to meet Konges Sløjd , one of the most well-known brands from Copenhagen. Konges Sløjd sells a wide variety of products, such as baby interiors, clothing, and toys. Their inventiveness and imaginative humour in simple everyday products celebrate the wild, varied, and perfectly imperfect life with children.
Fashion
Maison Mangostan
One of our favourite kids fashion categories is definitely the fun & playful style, full of positivity and coolness for happy kids.
The winner of Milk Crush Award! The brand started with only footwear but quickly expanded into the world of fashion. Maison Mangostan is full of personality and creativity, they design clothes that reflect the kids’ character, influenced by art, music, and rich ethnical heritage.

Cos I Said So is committed to being as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. From babies to teens, their clothing essentials always have a personal touch thanks to their famous hand-drawn graphics.
We love it! Have a sneak peek at their SS 23 collection!
Tom and Boy
We admire brands that are not afraid to stand out. Confident, rebellious, and adventurous, Tom & Boy is a brand with boldness at its core. They design genderless clothing for children which illustrates the joys of childhood. SS23 is inspired by the painters with a lot of handmade embroideries…we can’t say more but we LOVE it!
Sproet & Sprout
Authenticity is what makes us ourselves, and Sproet & Sprout believes that true beauty lies in the little imperfections we all have. Based on this idea, the Dutch brand hand-draws each print to give it a genuine appearance. Lively and energetic, Sproet & Sprout state they’re a product of playful experiments where craftsmanship and joy come together.
Salt Water
Salt-Water Sandals are adventure-ready and durable enough to be passed down through family and friends. Thanks to their 100% leather composition, these well-recognised shoes are also waterproof, making them very suitable for children's summers. We love their new blue and can’t wait to order it next summer!
Belle Chiara
The winner of this edition of the Milk Fashion Award is Belle Chiara, congratulations! It started in 2009 with a line of shoes that they desired to create something special from the beginning. Today, their range has been extended into fashion, keeping the same principles: Naturalness, delicacy, originality, and craftsmanship. Only using organic cotton and natural fabrics the brand constantly does its best, to be honest, and sustainable.
The Campamento
The Campamento holds a special place in our hearts. The brand creates timeless pieces with just the perfect amount of personality and fun. Attentive to all details and colour matching, we loved seeing their cool SS23 collection.
