If you’re looking for some vacation inspiration, you came to the right place. Let us introduce you to a beautiful hotel concept located in our very own Lisbon.

Santa Clara 1728 is a hotel and guesthouse created by Silent Living. The hotel, located in the historic district of Alfama, is surrounded by monuments, palaces, and a lovely park with views over the Tagus river.

A building from the 18th century works as a home to Santa Clara 1728. The renovation was done by architect Manuel Aires Mateus, who has a unique architectural style combining soft and serene elements and time.

The building’s history was respected, but a touch of modern elegance was added. The outcome was an airy and peaceful sanctuary in the old cultural quarter.

Interior plays an important role when it comes to this hotel concept. Together with exterior features, it creates a sense of intimacy for the space.

Rustic and romantic objects are combined with modern and minimalistic ones, all sitting perfectly in balance inside the historical building.

One of the hotel’s highlights is the garden which provides a calm place for relaxation. Another thing worth mentioning is the communal dining table, which guests can use for getting together to dine, laugh and share.

A warm and delightful atmosphere is present all-around this unique concept, and it’s easy to feel at home in the house that truly considers the comfort and needs of the guests.

The hotel is accompanied by a restaurant called Ceia - a Portuguese word for supper that recalls comfort, history, and friendship.

Ceia offers a unique fine dining experience where 14 guests are sharing the same table and the same menu. The whole concept praises the Portuguese culture, where preparing and sharing food with the close ones is a pleasure and enjoying dinner together is the perfect ending to any day.
