Blossom School’s world of dreams
An architectural project with a family focus
and pastel candy colors
—
The soft-shaded, bold architecture of the sweet Blossom School is definitely one to put on the radar. It’s pretty hard to believe that this huge 3,520 square-metre space is a a real-estate sales centre for Fantasia Holdings, based in Chengdu, China. Even tough it aspires a true wonderland for kids. The innovative architecture, with a smart focus on children just caught our attention and boosts our hunger for design big time!
The project’s design firm is Karv One Design with company founder Kyle Chan at the helm of the project. Large-scale real-estate, cultural, retail, hotel, exhibition and office complexes are the main focus of Karve One Design. In this case, they created this candy-like feel in a real-estate complex. A completely different turn on ‘stressful places’, by turning them into a place where everyone loves to be!
The out-of-the-box angle on the architecture of this real-estate company is just wonderful! Escaping from the regular, clean, formal spaces, Karv One Design decided to put the common architecture choices upside down! Instead they went for child-sized, soft-hued rooms in pastel colors.
The various spaces are created for the family’s kids. While the parents are making life-changing decisions over their family dream house, their kids can enjoy this fairytale moment. The rooms provide the opportunities to play and learn. Functional areas include small theatres, game rooms, light food restaurant, bakery, library, craft area, music and sports classroom. Crazy right? Could you imagine parents signing big deals here? Of course, they’re distracted from the stressful decision of buying a house, with the focus on a beautiful space for them and their family.
