Kartell Lands in Lisbon: Inside the Brand’s First Flagship Store
Kartell opens a new home in Amoreiras
for its iconic designs and latest pieces

Kartell has opened its first flagship store in Lisbon, adding a new design destination to the city and further connecting the brand to Portugal’s growing creative scene.
We stopped by the opening to see the new space firsthand, and to find some of our favourite Kartell pieces gathered in one place.
A New Design Destination in Lisbon
Located in the Amoreiras district, the flagship store was designed as an immersive space where visitors can explore the full breadth of Kartell’s collections.
Furniture, lighting and accessories unfold through fluid layouts that highlight the brand’s signature use of transparency, colour and innovative materials across both indoor and outdoor settings. Even the Kartell sunglasses collection has a place within the space.
Kartell Icons on Display
Walking through the store, several iconic pieces immediately stand out. Among them is the Louis Ghost Chair, the transparent polycarbonate chair designed by Philippe Starck that has become one of the most recognisable objects in contemporary design.
Nearby, the Componibili Storage Unit by Anna Castelli Ferrieri, remains another defining Kartell piece: a modular storage design from the late 1960s known for its simple cylindrical form and stackable functionality.
New Releases
Alongside the classics, the Lisbon flagship also highlights some of Kartell’s latest designs. The KD28 Table Lamp by Joe Colombo, stands out with its sculptural geometry and luminous transparency.
We were also drawn to the Bonheur du Jour Armchair by Philippe Starck, which brings a more relaxed presence through generous volumes and refined upholstery. Two pieces to keep your eye on during your visit.
To round off the evening, we managed to steal Lorenza Luti, Kartell’s Marketing Director, for 60 seconds for a quick conversation about iconics, design and what makes Kartell pieces so enduring. You can watch the full interview on our Instagram.
