The New Classics of Lillagunga

The New Classics of Lillagunga

A Finnish brand adding modern simplicity

and contemporary quality into classic products

With the magic power of providing a sense of freedom, lightness and instant joy, the swing has been around for more than 3500 years. This dynamic piece of furniture/toy is loved by both adults and kids around the world. After so much time, the product may still have the same name, but its design has been recently - and significantly! -improved by Finnish brand Lillagunga.

Although today it offers designs for different ages (from toddlers to adults), Lillagunga had just one model when it was founded in 2013 by Anton Stenfors. The father of two little boys was having a hard time looking for a stylish quality swing when he realized there was a market gap for it, and soon started to prototype the Lillagunga Classic.

“Through our exceptionally well crafted products, we want to spread a sense of joy and wonder into people’s everyday lives. Bearing this in mind, we design high quality products that people can customise to meet their preferred style or need, creating something fun, unique and personal.”

Just a few months after being launched, the Lillagunga Classic won the Interior Design Reporters, a Finnish competition aimed at promoting carefully made design products that suit people’s everyday lives. What a blast!

Since then, the brand has developed other very successful products, opened its own stores and now has several retailers all around the world. To check the one closest to you, visit this link.

We love their whole collection, but our favorite part is that every product is customizable, so it can bring fun and joy into any interior, mood and personality. You can either go for sober tones or add a pop of color on its ropes, or you could ask for your kid’s name to be carved into the wood to make it a very special, one-of-a-kind gift.
