Village by BOA Porto: Where Heritage Meets Modern Comfort

A 19th-century neighbourhood reimagined as a refined retreat,

seamlessly blending history with contemporary living

In the heart of Porto, Village by BOA is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience. This unique hospitality project preserves the architectural charm and strong sense of community that have long defined the area, offering a fresh take on urban living.

Originally established in the late 19th century, Bairro do Silva was a thriving neighbourhood of terraced houses influenced by British architecture. These closely built homes fostered a deep sense of unity and resilience. Today, Village by BOA honours this heritage by maintaining the district’s distinctive character while introducing modern comforts.

Sustainability is at the core of the project, with eco-friendly initiatives such as the use of sustainable building materials, solar energy, paperless check-in, and refillable bath product bottles, all designed to enhance guest comfort while reducing environmental impact.

Spread across five buildings, 40 thoughtfully designed apartments are available in three categories: apartment, duplex, and studio, with sizes of up to 85m². Each space strikes the perfect balance between elegance and tranquillity, creating a sanctuary in the heart of Porto.

Designed by Bacana Studio, the interiors draw inspiration from the serene simplicity of Japanese wabi-sabi and the cosy warmth of Scandinavian hygge. Custom Portuguese furniture in soft pastels and natural tones create an inviting atmosphere, while modern amenities, including keyless entry and a responsive concierge service, cater to contemporary lifestyles, all within Porto’s vibrant cultural landscape.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to lose sight of our roots. Village by BOA is a reminder of the enduring value of tradition, time, and place. With its seamless fusion of historic charm and modern design, it sets a new benchmark for urban hospitality, honouring the past while embracing the future.
