Hello, fellow gastronomic adventurers!

A new gastronomic place with adventurous food choices, wines, cocktails, and a variety of curious minds on the Lisbon’s Bairro Alto outskirts.

Arca (“ark” in Portuguese) is a place for unity, freedom, and a little escapism. Some sort of shelter, a getaway from your daily routine, noisy crowded streets, or a Sunday hangover.

Just like an arc brings diverse life forms together, their “arca” brings like-minded wandering souls and a great variety of characters with kindred passions in life. Food, wine, art, music, family, travel… If some of these feels like something up your alley, you definitely will connect to Arca!

Their menu goals are simple food with elevated details. Trusty dishes or beloved classics with a twist! Arca tries not to be excessive and overcomplicate everything but keep their menu delicious and understandable.

Common sense in the kitchen is Arca’s guiding light! Think Nordic minimalist feel with products atypical for the south — celery roots, lightly salted zucchini, pickled okra, etc.

Also, they keep researching local products extensively, e.g. cheeses and meats, as their inspiration mostly comes from seasonal ingredients, the city's atmosphere, and their friends. So, most guests will find something special for themselves!

As they’re big fans of the natural process, the wine selection went through minimal intervention reflecting the terroir and keeping the winemaker's vision. The natural wine list consists of Portuguese wines of the new wave, as well as wines from Spain, France, Italy, and other countries.

Arca also picked a few cocktail classics for our beloved non-wine drinkers, each with their little cheeky twist. In addition, they serve local beer and a variety of cold teas from a special recipe.
