Lisbon Guide: Rooftop Bars & Restaurants

The best rooftops

in Lisbon

If there is one thing that you will always get in Lisbon it’s a beautiful view, but nothing is better than a view with a good drink.

Spread around Lisbon, we chose some of our favorite rooftop gems, where you can sit back and relax with drinks and food whilst watching the city of Lisbon in action, from day to night.

Trust us, it’s worth the climb.

TOPO, Martin Moniz

Witness daring acrobatics from the bartenders, and a beautiful view of Castelo de São Jorge, whilst enjoying international cuisine, all at TOPO.

Hidden on the top floor of Centro Commercial Martin Moniz, you’ll find yourself enjoying great cocktails in a hip and energetic atmosphere where you can unwind on their comfortable couches or get a better view on their high stools outside.

JAVA, Cais do Sodre

Perched above the city of Lisbon and on the top floor of the panoramic lift is Java, the perfect rooftop to settle in with a drink in your hand while the sun sets and unravels the mystical Lisbon light.

The space has a tropical yet serene decor, with lots of plants, Parisian tables, glass lamps, and lights that create the atmosphere with a variety of drinks and food.

Vintage Rooftop Bar, Príncipe Real

Get lost in the tropical atmosphere, surrounded by plants and cocktails for all hours of the day and we heard they are a knockout.

When it comes to drinks, you're in safe hands. Talented Portuguese mixologist Luís Levy has created an impressive cocktail menu with a focus on local spirits. Aside from that incredible menu, the Vintage rooftop bar serves light bites and wines from lunch to dinner all the way to late-night drinks.

The view is another charm, you get a panoramic view of the whole city and the river. It’s the perfect spot to relax and watch the wonderful sunset.

Ferroviário, Santa Apolonia

Not feeling in the mood for crowds but looking for a lively experience, then Ferroviario is the place to go.

It’s more than just a beautiful view and a bar, it’s intimate and dynamic, a place where you can watch comedy shows and explore elegant galleries. They offer an open-air terrace, bar, and performance rooms all night long.

It’s truly a rooftop that represents Lisbon, from its lively essence to its welcoming community.

The Insólito, Bairro Alto

With a panoramic view over Lisbon, dining at the Insólito restaurant is a journey to an unusual and fascinating destination.

The interior dining room is almost as fascinating as the view, with its whimsical decoration and gastro bar, where you can dine from the menu or customised dishes by the chef. Insólito also has a cocktail bar and a selection of Portuguese wines to accompany you from day to night on this experience.
