Did you ever want your kids to experience the same freedom and connection with nature as you did when you were little, wandering around the garden, playing around and feeling free? Well, now they can!

Quinta Kismet is a place created to foster a connection with the natural environment through Wild Food courses and nature inspired workshops, all set in picturesque Azenhas Do Mar, a landmark location along Lisbon’s Atlantic coastline.

Hosted by British born couple Alex & Dean Bennett who, guided by regenerative systems, have transformed an abandoned vineyard into productive sprawling organic gardens and an accommodation perched above Portugal’s most dramatic clifftop village.

Providing a series of workshops, events, stays and special projects, guests have the opportunity to learn how to identify and respectfully harvest wild plants. They also have the opportunity to learn about permaculture and natural food forest system, to create a delicious and nutritious foraged food, and eat together in the greenhouse overlooking the sea.

Visitors to Quinta Kismet enjoy discovering wild foods including vibrant wild pesto with freshly harvested pine nuts to freshly foraged mollusks or percebes (goose barnacles).

There’s a series of creative workshops, from printing with flowers or crafting with natural clay, whilst others simply like to harvest vegetables and herbs from the garden whilst staying in the Quinta’s cottage, Casa no Campo.

This cottage is a carefully curated property crafted with traditional and sustainable materials, complete with it’s very own teepee, vegetable garden, natural pool and even a children’s mud kitchen.
