Carolina K Makes Its European Debut, and It's Happening in Comporta
Carolina K, the slow-fashion label built on Latin American craft, opens its first European pop-up at Quinta da Comporta Boutik. This is why it matters.

Comporta has a way of attracting things that don't rush. So it makes sense that Carolina K, a brand built on the opposite of fast fashion, chose this particular stretch of Portuguese coastline for its European debut.
Designer Carolina Kleinman founded the brand in 2005, after settling in Tepoztlán, Mexico, and beginning to work directly with local artisan cooperatives. The label has since become known for its distinctive prints and hand-embroidered details, produced by artisans from remote communities in Mexico, Peru, and India. The craft is the point, not a selling feature, but the foundation everything else is built on.
From 18 June, Quinta da Comporta Boutik hosts the brand's first European pop-up, open throughout the summer, with a selection spanning ready-to-wear, swimwear, accessories, and homeware.
Made by Hand, Made with Meaning
Crossing cultural references with traditional craft techniques, each piece is developed in close collaboration with artisan communities from around the world.
At the Table
The homeware selection brings the same craft logic indoors, objects made to be used, noticed, and kept.
For the Home
Each piece in the collection carries the trace of where, and who, made it.
Carolina Kleinman has spoken about her intention to explore Portuguese craft traditions, Castelo Branco embroidery, Estremoz ceramics, as source material for future collections. Comporta is where that conversation begin.
The Carolina K pop-up at Quinta da Comporta Boutik is now open throughout summer 2026.
