Dominique Crenn Curates the Seasonal Menus Aboard Les Bateaux Belmond for 2025
A Michelin-starred culinary journey through the rivers,
terroirs, and flavours of France

Gastronomy meets slow travel as Michelin-starred chef Dominique Crenn takes the helm of the culinary experience aboard Les Bateaux Belmond, a fleet of luxurious floating villas cruising through France’s scenic waterways. For the 2025 season, Crenn debuts exclusive seasonal menus inspired by her French heritage and a deep connection to local terroirs.
As the first woman chef to oversee all seven boats, Crenn tailors each menu to the rhythm of the region.
In the north, aboard Lilas, Coquelicot, Amaryllis, and Fleur de Lys, the focus is on elegant, earthy dishes: spring peas and trout roe, braised leeks with morels and green peppercorn, delicate poached chicken, and a reimagined Alsatian kugelhopf with cherry and orange.
In the south, aboard Pivoine, Alouette, and Napoléon, Crenn draws from her coastal roots with dishes like vegetable pistou soup, whole roasted sea bream with bitter lettuce and chorizo, and Ravioles du Dauphiné made for sharing. Her signature lemon and olive oil tart finishes the experience with brightness and aromatic depth.
Her approach is simple: every dish is a postcard from the region. Ingredients are fresh, seasonal, and often sourced from local markets along the way, making the menus both grounded and spontaneous.
The launch also marks a new chapter for Belmond with the debut of an itinerary through Bordeaux, combining vineyard visits, château strolls, and wellness rituals with Crenn’s distinct storytelling through food.
A journey aboard Les Bateaux Belmond with Dominique Crenn is a moving feast through the soul of France.
