Set within Montréal’s Cité du Multimédia, Ère Studios redefines the contemporary gym through architecture, atmosphere and intention. Designed by Ivy Studio, the elevated fitness studio in Montreal balances raw industrial structure with refined, gallery like design.
Occupying a 410 sqm ground floor space between Griffintown and Old Montréal, Ère Studios was conceived for a new generation of urban professionals seeking more than functional workouts. Here, design, mood and movement work together.
A gallery inspired approach to fitness
The experience begins in a light filled reception that feels closer to a contemporary gallery than a traditional gym. Exposed concrete floors, visible ventilation and expansive windows set a raw architectural backdrop, softened by curving forms and a warm, carefully calibrated colour palette. A sculptural stainless steel reception desk anchors the space, guiding circulation intuitively through the studio.
Social energy is built into the layout. A red velvet banquette lines the windows, while a curved ceramic juice bar offers a post workout pause, reinforcing the idea of fitness as a shared ritual rather than a solitary task.
Three studios, three atmospheres
Beyond the open lobby, Ère Studios unfolds into three distinct training rooms, each designed to alter mood and intensity.
The spin studio is dark and immersive, with colour changing LEDs synced to music for high energy sessions. The heated strength room is wrapped in warm brown tones and soft perimeter lighting, creating an enveloping, grounding environment. In contrast, the Pilates studio is calm and luminous, filtered through sheer curtains that soften daylight over reformer beds Ère Studios.
Each space functions as its own cocoon, allowing members to transition mentally as well as physically.

Ère Studios moves beyond the standard gym model. By combining industrial architecture, luxury retail sensibility and emotion led interior design, it offers a refined wellness destination tailored to contemporary city life.
