For more than 20 years, Pantone’s Color of the Year has influenced product development and purchasing decisions across fashion and furnishings, as well as product, packaging, and graphic design. As creatives, Globe speaks the language of color and Pantone is their dictionary. In tribute, they offer fellow design and color enthusiasts the ability to skate or collect a piece of color trend history.

For this limited edition series, each color was thoughtfully considered and selected by the design team at Globe from the Pantone Color of the Year archives. Each deck is a numbered edition of 200, dipped in one of the Pantone Colors of the Year from the past two decades. And we are in love with all of them!

All the decks are; 8.25” wide x 32” tall, made from Canadian maple and have been paint dipped in the official Pantone Color of the Year. The decks are also engraved with Color name and Pantone number and laser-etched with color story and official collaboration information, including limited-edition individualised numbering on each top. This tells that every minor detail has been in focus in the production of those outstanding boards.

The 2nd box set, 2000 – 2010, features a warm muted tone palette comprised of these 5 individual decks;

United by over three decades of boardsports, street culture, design and film, GLOBE represents an international network of riders and designers. Emerging out of the Melbourne underground skate scene of the 1970s, Australian brothers Stephen, Peter and Matt Hill started a skateboard distribution business that set off a new movement in Australia and eventually led to the launch of the GLOBE brand in 1994.

GLOBE, the premium boardsports footwear, apparel and skateboards has an ongoing partnership with The National Forest Foundation (NFF) which enables the NFF to plant more than over three times the amount of trees we harvest in making of their skateboards. And you know we simply love when brands care about the environment.
