The best burgers
in Lisbon
—
Who doesn’t love a good burger? We surely do. It’s food that can be enjoyed together or alone, shared with friends over conversations, or laying in bed hungover on a Sunday morning.
So that you wouldn’t have to dig up all the best burger places in Lisbon yourself, we’ve created a little list for the moments when you just really crave a good one.
Stack Smash Burgers, Anjos & Mirari
This burger joint embodies a laid-back spirit inspired by LA's 70s to 90s and a genuine passion for crafting the perfect smash burger. The signature crispy thin patties are complemented with their artisinal potato buns that lock in all the delicious juices for an unforgettable taste experience.
With a commitment to 100% national products, every bite is a celebration of fresh, locally sourced ingredients made right in-house.
Ground Burger, São Sebastiāo
It’s the all American experience wrapped into one Lisbon located burger joint, from the delicious burgers (that we truly LOVE) to the best doughnuts in town. Once you have tried their menu, trust us, you’ll be going back for more.
They also offer a large variety of American craft beers & kombucha that are a must try!
You can choose to visit one of their two locations, São Sebastião or Timeout Market.
Dallas Burger Joint, Cais do Sodré, São Bento, Anjos, Carcavelos
With four vibrant locations across Lisbon, Dallas specialises in juicy, handcrafted patties made fresh in-house daily, using 100% Portuguese grass-fed beef, paired with innovative toppings and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
They also cater to veggie and vegans, allowing guests to swap any meat for a tasty plant-based alternative. You can find many other delicious treats from their selection, such as milkshakes, nachos, and fries.
Boubou’s Sandwich Club, Príncipe Real & Amoreiras
Featuring a straightforward menu of half a dozen diverse sandwiches, the kitchen highlights its creativity and seasonal ingredients. They have dishes such as sweet potato topped with coconut tiger milk and nori tacos stuffed with kimchi rice and glazed seitan. The wine pairings, skillfully selected by the sommelier, showcase a range of all-Portuguese options.
A charming space that offers a relaxed and casual dining experience, complete with a small terrace and a few inviting tables indoors, as well as convenient take-away options.
Santo Graal, Campo de Ourique
Their slogan ‘‘anything goes between two slices of bread’’ says it all. At Santo Graal, you can expect even the unexpected.
Known for its quality meat, wedge fries, and tasty burgers, Santo Graal never disappoints. We’d recommend trying at least the chef’s burger and the blue cheese burger, accompanied by some of their delicious sides.
Kendrick, Liberdade
With a focus on vegetarian dishes, Kendrick offers a menu that features unique options like the Cheesy Rowdy, a crispy mushroom topped with pickled onions and homemade cream cheese, and The Great, a delightful quinoa burger on brioche with a secret sauce.
The restaurant’s industrial yet cosy atmosphere provides the perfect setting for enjoying quick, tasty meals and sharing stories over a beer.
