Resonance: Where Design Becomes Emotion
Resonance:
A New Design Experience by Studiopepe
—
A new chapter in contemporary design unfolds with Resonance, a visual and sensory journey created by Studiopepe. Set within their redesigned showroom, this immersive installation explores how materials can go beyond form to evoke memory, emotion, and atmosphere.
Unveiled in Milan, it offers a striking look into the expressive potential of furniture and lighting. It’s a narrative built on contrasts—between softness and structure, nostalgia and modernity, stillness and movement.
All photography by Andrea Ferrari.
Among the highlights is the Tratto lamp by Draga&Aurel, a sculptural cascade of light that transforms the purity of a cylinder into a floating, graphic gesture.
Nearby, the Hide&Seek Door by Pietro Russo draws inspiration from 1970s and 1980s glamour, with lacquered Bordeaux surfaces and mirrored metals evoking a refined, retro elegance.
Martina and Massimo Castagna, father and daughter, bring generational contrast and emotional softness with Olivia, a monolithic yet fluid armchair designed to embrace, endure, and evoke.
Meanwhile, david/nicolas’s Arch table commands presence with handcrafted aluminium forms that feel architectural, like mini monuments redefining the spatial rhythm.
Studiopepe revisits its roots with the Mirage coffee tables, where recycled glass and polished steel create fluid, reflective illusions. More than furnishings, they feel like functional sculptures.
Other highlights include the Saki chairs by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, Studiopepe’s H2O Lounge chair with its sculptural playfulness, and the Stresa boiserie by Dainelli Studio, blending antiqued mirrors with ambient light to enrich the space with quiet elegance.
In Resonance, nothing is static. Every element comes with memory, movement, and meaning. It’s a showcase of craftsmanship where design doesn't just exist—it connects.
