In the heart of Manhattan, a new chapter unfolds for The Beauty Studio, a family-owned salon welcoming over 5,000 clients annually. Under the creative direction of Ukrainian designer Buro Odintsova, the salon has undergone a striking transformation, where vibrant elegance meets a touch of “Sex and the City” charm.

“The project’s primary aesthetic is emotional, feminine, with organic details. We got inspired with a company's corporate culture and brand book, which guided us into creating an elegant environment conducive to beauty treatments, fostering an ambiance of utmost tranquility and balance,” shared Lizaveta Odintsova, founder and lead designer at Design Buro Odintsova.

The renovation, completed in record time, was an exciting challenge for both teams. The new design introduces graceful arches, wave-like structures, hidden-lit plasterboard hyperbolas, bold colours, accent wallpaper, and dynamic lighting, creating a visually engaging environment.

Located in a historic Manhattan commercial building, the salon posed structural challenges. The design team revitalised the space with brand-specific colours, fresh paintwork, and strategic replacements, seamlessly merging past and present.

Sustainability played a key role in the redesign, with original wooden features preserved and eco-friendly materials incorporated, such as durable vinyl linoleum made from renewable resources. The interior also features curated pieces from the US-based Anthropologie collection, including pendant lamps, mirrors, and a statement console table.

In a city that never sleeps, The Beauty Studio now stands as a haven where sophistication, sustainability, and style converge. This stunning renovation not only reflects the salon’s commitment to excellence, but also sets a new benchmark for contemporary beauty spaces in New York City.
