Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial Returns For A Third Edition
Contemporary jewellery, exhibitions and creative encounters
across Lisbon
—
The Lisbon Contemporary Jewellery Biennial returns this September with its third edition, Coexistências / Coexistences, exploring the connections between people, materials and the worlds we inhabit.
Taking over MUDE, Convento dos Cardaes and Ar.Co, the Biennial brings Portuguese and international artists together through exhibitions, installations, talks and workshops.
At MUDE, Coexistences – Jewellery and the Beauty of the World explores this year’s central theme, while What Makes Us Blind at Convento dos Cardaes uses gold to question value, preciousness and material extraction.
At Ar.Co, six international contemporary jewellery schools come together, while more than 25 parallel events extend the Biennial across Lisbon from 19 to 27 September. Nine days, multiple locations and plenty to discover beyond the traditional idea of jewellery.
