Hello, design junkies!
We have found a beautiful project that we are so excited to show you. In advance, we want to warn you that your design hungry heart will be beating an extra beat for this pink concrete store. Architecture firm Adjaye Associates, leads by David Adjaye was commissioned to design a new store for the fashion brand The Webster so they did, and we must say we love the result of it.

The 1,022-square-meter space is located in the northeast corner of the Beverly Center, at the bustling intersection of La Cienega and Beverly Boulevards. The location in a mall (Beverly Center) offered easy access and visibility, and opportunity to create a piece of standout architecture.
Laure Heriard Dubreuil, founder of The Webster, opened her seventh space in a time where some say off-line retail is dead or dying, but others say that Web and mobile shopping threw new ideas about where and how to consume.
"In the past five years, I've started to work with a lot of saturated red and pink hues, which extends back to the early colour experiments I did at the beginning of my career. Pink felt like fashion, but I wanted to make something that was tough and gentle at the same time," comments Adjaye.
The front of the building features an LED screen, which will display rotating artwork and act as a public forum for passersby and those who want to sit and stay awhile. A place not only to shop but to linger and discover, which is the formula that has allowed Dubreuil to continue opening stores.
The interiors continue the pink aesthetic of the exterior with curving walls that enclose the changing rooms and concrete display plinths. The pink concrete has a smooth finish on the lower part and a rough texture above, while the terrazzo floor is covered in grey concrete with fragments of black cherry marble.
Additional materials are used in contrast to the concrete, like the delicate bronze display racks and mirrors with bronze frames. The upper part of the walls in the changing rooms is covered in a floral, vintage 1950s wallpaper. How incredible cool does that sound? We would love to take a stroll around the Webster to experience the stunning design of the store whilst being surrounded by high end luxury fashion.
