That is precisely what Melia Marden and Frank Sisti Jr. have achieved in their Brooklyn townhome, brought to life in collaboration with Elizabeth Roberts Architects and Elliot Meier Studio.
We discovered it in Architectural Digest and could not look away.
This is maximalism done with genuine intention, not clutter for clutter's sake, but a home where every element earns its place, where there is always something new to discover, and where a consistent, brilliant yellow thread ties it all together.
First Impressions are Everything
Nothing about this house is ordinary, and that is apparent from the very first glance. Arriving guests are greeted by bright yellow hues, bold graphic patterns, and a slide for the children that sets the tone perfectly.
The exterior, however, is only just beginning. The entrance is lined with coloured buttons, flags, cardboard cutouts, and hand-painted signs — an invitation into a world where adolescent wonder is entirely welcome.
The Heart of the Home
The central rooms continue the spirit introduced at the entrance, layering a signature vintage atmosphere with collected trinkets, oversized wall decor, and a sense of accumulated life that feels genuinely personal rather than excessive. Each room presents something exceptional, something new to take in, something that rewards a second and third look.
