Contemporary Apartment Design in Kyiv: A Minimal, Family-Friendly Home

A refined apartment designed for calm, balance,

and timeless contemporary living

In Kyiv, the Bond apartment by Bogdanova Architects reimagines contemporary family living through natural materials, mindful planning and architectural restraint. Spanning 201 sqm, the project merges two neighbouring flats into a cohesive home designed for calm, balanced living.

A Nature Inspired Material Palette

The interior is defined by a restrained, earthy palette of sandy and milky tones, warm wood and subtle brass accents. Walls clad in natural travertine introduce tactility and warmth, while herringbone parquet flooring adds rhythm and timeless depth.

A sculptural travertine fireplace anchors the living area, acting as both separator and centrepiece.

Integrated Architecture and Flow

Structural pylons resulting from the merger of two apartments were carefully absorbed into the architectural composition, reinforcing clarity and cohesion. The minimalist kitchen is seamlessly embedded into the architecture, with concealed storage and a central island that encourages gathering.

A round dining table becomes the symbolic heart of the home. It marks a compelling example of how past aesthetics can be reinterpreted to shape the future of modern French design.

Quiet Cinematic Living

Throughout the apartment, subtle contrasts and sculptural details create a quietly cinematic atmosphere. The master bedroom is conceived as a space for slowing down, while in the bathroom a freestanding bathtub set on a travertine podium transforms daily rituals into moments of reflection.

With its emphasis on tranquillity, durability and timeless design, Bond presents a refined example of a modern family apartment in Kyiv — one that embraces rather than impresses.
