Hi, interior design enthusiasts!
There is nothing like nature’s landscapes, a place where all elements are part of the environment. With mind-blowing shapes and sizes, we even might say that nature is a divine architect, and designer Mtt García agrees.
With a deep inspiration for the desert landscapes of Spain, Mtt García from Patricia Bustos Studio brought nature, brutalism, and minimalism to a new project, DSRT.
Divided into two areas, the outside, with the living room, kitchen, and dining room is the desert, where life is, and inside are the bathrooms and bedrooms.
With a living room, where you can simulate with light a sunset on the dunes, a sea without water.
The corridor is like a tunnel that leads you to the rooms with a certain surrealism because of its shape and integrated lighting.
Everything in the house has a desert-like organic continuity, with no corners but rounded edges. The lighting is integrated into the walls and floor to achieve peace and tranquility and to give more warmth to the space.
The ceiling, walls, and floor are covered in cement, all in the same tone. The outside gets a lot of natural light and is an open space separated by arches.
Furniture intervention is minimal. Much of the furniture is part of the work and has been designed in situ. Lamps and vases have been created and painted by the designer with cement finishes. Others are vintage and original from the period.
