Tranquil Oasis: Dag en Dauw Beauty Salon by Objekt Architecten near Brussels

The calm rebranding 

of Dag en Dauw

In a busy city, it’s hard to find tranquility without being surrounded by crowds, sounds, and overwhelming situations. However sometimes, if you are lucky enough, you can encounter a place that distinguishes itself in the middle. We believe Dag en Dauw beauty salon is that place.

A work made by the architectural and design office Objekt Architecten located on a busy main road near Brussels. 

With a property that looked dated, a lack of professional appearance, and a non-appreciative use of the same, the owner felt that it was time for a rebranding of the full salon.

The needs were clear: at least three treatment cabins, an attractive sales area, a waiting area, and a nail salon studio. The interior had to match the new brand identity, which exudes a natural tranquility.

For a calmer visitor experience the existing straight walls disappeared and were replaced by undulating walls, creating a natural flow through the space. 

Customers enter an atmospheric retail space bathed in light. Limited use of materials, textures, and colours transforms the space into an oasis of calm.

With an element in the form of the revamped logo in the middle of the space and the nail studio on the side, passers-by are always ensured to see movement inside contributing to its professional look.

The more intimate treatment rooms were given a place at the back. Behind each of the three doors is a brown-red space, giving the treatment rooms a different dark atmosphere.

By thoughtfully handling the given space, Objekt Architecten designers created a quiet oasis on a busy connecting road, where visitors can enjoy a whole range of treatments where they can unwind.
