August in Lisbon moves at its own pace. The days are long and warm, the evenings even better and this month the city has more going on than it lets on.
A full festival programme, rooftop cinemas, morning yoga followed by brunch, live dinner shows, surf schools open to all and more.
Here is everything on our radar this August.
Brunch at Agora
Seasonal, locally sourced ingredients blending Portuguese, Southern European and Asian influences. Natural wines, live music on the weekends and a kitchen run with real passion.
Lisbon is the space to enjoy Saturday the way it was always meant to be.
Rainbow Disco Club × Boa Viagem
16 hours across two venues. Antal, Capablanca and Dolce Vito by day at Quinta Mira Rio, then Chida, DJ Caring and Jonny Rock through the night at Waikiki.

Leather Journal Workshop
Make your own leather journal at Kube Coworking. 2.5 hours, all materials included, wine and tea provided.

Nadav Dagon Live Electronic Concert
Nadav Dagon brings his hypnotic live electronic set to Cais do Sodré. Tribal textures, hybrid drums, percussion and deep bass in an immersive 360-degree performance. With JAGWOLF and AVI. 8 August, 7pm.
MEO Kalorama 2026
Ms. Lauryn Hill, Robbie Williams, Deftones, Grace Jones and Interpol headline three days at Parque da Bela Vista.
Alternative, electronic and indie across three stages. 28–30 August.
Cinecapitólio Rooftop
Open-air cinema on the rooftop of Capitólio. Deckchairs, wireless headphones, popcorn and classics.
Wednesday to Saturday, 9:30pm, until September.
The Fifties Diner
Every Friday and Saturday in August, this retro
diner in Parque das Nações becomes a live dinner show. Grease, Dirty Dancing, Elvis and Blues & Soul performed between burgers and milkshakes.
Yoga Brunch at LX Portal
Every Saturday, a Vinyasa Flow with LX Portal Yoga followed by brunch at APF Café. The kind of Saturday morning worth getting up for.
A Ser Caminho, SNBA
Final paintings by graduating students from Faculdade de Belas-Artes. Diverse voices,
no fixed destination and free entry until
the 22nd of August.
Encanto by José Avillez
A Michelin Star, a Green Star and a 100% vegetarian tasting menu at Largo de São Carlos.
José Avillez's most personal restaurant becomes a must-try this month.
Morcegos no Castelo
A nighttime bat-spotting walk through Castelo de São Jorge with real biologists and ultrasound detectors.
Every Saturday in August at 7pm.
Open to all ages, children from 5+.
Summer Party at Puracerâmica
Flea market of forgotten ceramics, pottery wheel, tile painting, drinks and a raffle. All proceeds go to animal welfare. A good afternoon for a good cause.
1 August.
Family at MACAM
Guided walks through the garden and gallery for families with children aged 5–12. Art, nature, observation and discovery.
8 and 22 August at 4pm.
New Opening: TEJÁ HOUSE
A new kind of space has landed on the water in Cais do Sodré. TEJÁ is a social club in a converted warehouse sitting right on the river: coworking floor, café culture, a gallery, an art residency, a cultural hub, and an event venue with an impressive sound system. All of it under one roof,
all of it facing the water.
É Um Restaurante
Chef Nuno Bergonse leads a community dinner inspired by Pakistan, Cape Verde, Angola and Brazil. An open-air, open-table night in Parque Central da Amadora.

Art & Sunset Picnic
Cave Social Club hosts an outdoor art and sunset picnic across the river in Almada. Bring a blanket, meet new people and watch the sun go down.
