October in Lisbon brings a packed cultural calendar. ModaLisboa takes over the city, the French Film Festival returns, and Halloween ends the month with a 12-hour party at Pátio da Galé.
There’s plenty happening beyond the big events too. New restaurants and cafés, pasta and pottery workshops, puppy yoga, exhibitions, markets and one very big marathon. Here is everything on our radar this October.
MODA LISBOA
Lisbon Fashion Week takes over the city from 7–11 October. Runway shows, emerging talent, exhibitions, workshops and more.
Venus Exhibition
Fashion meets contemporary art as Joana Vasconcelos brings her monumental works into dialogue with more than 30 Valentino creations, opening at MAAT Gallery on 2 October and running until 22 February 2027.
Patife
A pizza spot serving original flavour combinations, good wine and an easy-going vibe made for dinners with friends.
27th French Film Festival
A programme of special screenings celebrating the best of contemporary
French cinema.
Serra Vida Retreat
A weekend devoted to sauna, sound healing,
ice baths and forest bathing, alongside yoga, breathwork, meditation and nourishing meals.
Stylista Market
Returning to FIARTIL, bringing together Portuguese brands across fashion, kids, home, food and more for a weekend of open-air shopping on October 10–11.
Lisbon Pasta Week
From 19–25 October, expect special Pasta Week menus across Lisbon restaurants, pasta workshops, events and a big World Pasta Day celebration.
Bloom × Monkey Project
Bloom joins international collective Monkey Project for a 12-hour Halloween party at Pátio da Galé, bringing house and electronic sounds from Antdot and more on 31 October.
MORI
New in Alvalade, MORI brings East and West between two slices, with Japanese-inspired sandos mixing miso, nori and furikake with influences from around the world.

Coffee, matcha, onigiri and vinyl on repeat.

On the 10th of October, Lisbon’s big running day returns, with a 42 km route, starting in
Carcavelos and ending in Praça do Comércio.

VEJA Store
VEJA has landed on Rua da Boavista with its
first Portuguese store, and its biggest in the world, transforming a former garage into a
bold new space.
Unexpected Scents of Fashion
An olfactory exhibition by Lisbon Perfume Club on
Oct 8–11, at Numa Sala, exploring the relationship between fashion and fragrance.
Puppy Bond
Puppy yoga classes combining a yoga flow with puppy time, with a different breed taking over the studio each week.
