The Delicious Life of a Vegetarian in Lisbon.
—
In a world where being vegetarian sounds limiting, Lisbon’s vegetarian scene is here to shatter that myth. From inventive spins on classics to mind-blowing fusions we are here to give you the best veggie restaurants in town.
Get your forks ready!
Arkhe, Rato
Hidden in the streets of Rato, you find Arkhe. A luxury restaurant that will delight your taste buds with its innovative vegetarian look to cuisine.
Our favourite experience is the lunch menu, with a lower price for your wallet and 3 wonderful moments to fill your belly.
Vegans, there’s no need to be jealous! Arkhe has saved a spot for you as any menu can be 100% plant-based ;)
Hot tip: with diverse awards and an appearance in the Michelin Guide, tables are packed for days so book yours in advance.
Encanto, Chiado
Encanto provides you with a theatrical trip with its tasting menu of 12 unforgettable moments. A place where the absence of meat becomes a testament to creativity.
Through the tables only the best vegetables and dishes dance, and they’re unforgettable enough to have won a Michelin star.
To pair the dishes, the chef has curated an 8-wine lineup, each selected to play a harmonious duet with every specific dish.
Each moment is deeply explained, as if each dish was a new chapter. We recommend paying attention to the Leeks, it’s our favourite ;)
Senhor Uva, Estrela
A wine bar that slowly became one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Lisbon. A place that offers great veggie food, real wines, and amazing energy.
Senhor Uva made our sweet tooth too happy with their Fig, passion fruit, and Hojicha tea dessert. It’s a must.
Once a wine bar, always a wine bar. For the grape juice lovers, you’ll feel right at home, as their wine card is impeccable.
The best place for a late afternoon. Order some dishes, and diverse wine and share it all with your friends.
Power Plant, Santos
A restaurant that embodies the philosophy that being vegetarian isn’t a limitation. Power Plant will fuel your body with mouth-watering dishes.
We all love breakfast dates and Power Plant gives you the best options. The Selina power tray stole our hearts.
The cocktails card is a must to look at. From a New Fashioned to a Daiquiri, they have it all for a fun brunch.
If you come with friends make sure to order diverse dishes and share among all. Power Plant will leave everyone’s bellies full.
The Food Temple, Martim Moniz
The Food Temple is the place to change minds on vegetarianism. With the happiest environment and yummy dishes, you’ll never want to leave.
Here you don’t find the typical outdoor seating, only pillows and tables on a flight of stairs. The vibes never felt better.
Visiting and not trying the delicious Tofu rolls should be a crime. Make sure to not miss them!
Ps: they’re one of the best hostesses in Lisbon, so we recommend keeping them in mind for your family and friends dinners.
