Florence in Bloom: A Look Back at the Magic of Pitti Bimbo 101
A Sweet Farewell to Pitti Bimbo 2025:
Our Highlights from an Unforgettable Two Days in Florence
—
Florence, you’ve done it again. Just when we thought we knew what to expect, Pitti Bimbo 101 swept in like a fresh summer breeze—bold, bright, and bursting with imagination. Over the last two days, the city transformed into a wonderland for kidswear, where every corner told a new story in colour, texture, and playful contrasts.
We walked the promenade, talked trends, and found ourselves charmed—yet again—by the boundless creativity this fair brings year after year. With “Spring/Summer 2026” as its guiding theme, this edition reminded us that fashion for little ones isn’t just about what they wear, it's about joy, curiosity, and dressing for the adventure ahead.
Here are a few standouts we can’t stop talking about, each bringing something great to the world of kids fashion.
Mama’s Shopping List Fashion Show
One of the highlights of our time was Mama’s Shopping List, a fashion show presented by Kate Kendrick of Pirouette Directory. Trust us, this was no ordinary runway.
Kate took the task of grocery shopping, and reimagined the everyday errands through the lens of children’s fashion. Each look felt like a page torn from a playful shopping list.
It was a joyful reminder that children’s fashion doesn’t have to follow the rules. With a little creativity, even a to-do list can become a runway moment.
Pirouette Plaza: Pitch on the Go
Another fun stop was the Pirouette Plaza. Picture this: you, your collection, and Katie from Pirouette Directory on a virtual bike ride through Florence.
It was like an elevator pitch… but on two wheels! Designers had the chance to showcase their collections in motion, literally peddling their vision while riding alongside Katie.
The format was fresh, fun, and surprisingly effective, turning a simple product pitch into an unforgettable, joy-filled experience. We loved it!
And as always, several brands captured our hearts all over again with their standout collections, and reminded us why we fell for them in the first place.
Here are the old favourites we were thrilled to reconnect with: Sticky Lemon, Happyology, Goldie + Ace, Knot, Snug, Serendipity Organics, Kiko + &gg, Little Creative Factory, Play Up.
One discovery that truly stole our hearts was Markey's...
Born in Japan, this was Markey’s first international wholesale appearance. We were instantly drawn to their spirit and use of colour. Their collection was wide-ranging and joyful, celebrating real childhood in all its messy, vibrant glory. Every piece felt thoughtfully designed with one clear goal: to make you smile.
And then there were the other brands we were delighted to discover, each one bringing its own spark to the fair: PonPon, Cacatoès, Inuwet, Mary’s, Nicolas, Charlie Crane, Töastie, The Bonnie Mob.
Biking Club Networking Event
Another event we had the chance to attend was the Biking Club Networking Event. It was a dedicated moment for meaningful exchanges, fresh ideas, and spontaneous connections.
We took part in creative conversations and potential collaborations. In the end, it was all about good inspiration, great company, and the shared joy of being part of this vibrant, ever-evolving kidswear community.
As the final threads are packed away and Florence settles back into its golden summer rhythm, the spirit of Pitti Bimbo 101 lingers. We soaked up every detail, and we’re leaving inspired, energised, and already counting the days until we return.
Here’s to a season of exploration, expression, and expanding horizons in kids fashion.
Until next time, but for now—arrivederci from Florence, with love.
