Pitti Bimbo 100: A Fiery Celebration of Kidswear’s Future

Pitti Bimbo celebrates a milestone

with the transformative energy of FIRE

This winter, the iconic Fortezza da Basso in Florence will be filled with inspiration as Pitti Bimbo celebrates its milestone 100th edition. More than a celebration, this landmark event represents a bold leap into the future of kidswear. For buyers, press, and fashion enthusiasts, it’s a call to gather, explore, and immerse in a reimagined world of trends, innovation, and creativity.

Theme of the Year: FIRE

The driving force behind this year’s Pitti Immagine fairs is the elemental power of fire. Symbolising energy, light, and transformation, fire ignites connections and fuels imagination. Across all the winter fairs—Pitti Uomo, Pitti Filati, and Pitti Bimbo—this theme unites creativity, sparking a sense of renewal.

Agostino Poletto, General Director of Pitti Immagine, shares: “Fire brings people together, warming both body and soul, drawing attention and pointing the way. It serves to entertain, amaze, inspire, melt old ideas and habits, and forge new ones—just like fashion does. We'll spark excitement, ignite desires, and focus on challenges and solutions, just as the Pitti shows always do."

At Pitti Bimbo, this concept evolves into “(Don’t) Play with Fire”, a campaign photographed by rising talent Alessandro Timpanaro. Through the boundless imagination of childhood, flames are “stolen” and transformed into playful creations, captured against a dynamic urban backdrop.

A Bold New Format for a Historic Edition

To celebrate its centenary, Pitti Bimbo 100 introduces a brand-new format, condensing the event into two immersive days. Designed by award-winning creative Ilaria Marelli, the Fortezza da Basso transforms into a vibrant city of discovery. Featuring over 150 exhibitors, 65% of whom hail from outside Italy, the event promises an eclectic and global showcase of kidswear.

The reimagined layout is built around an urban concept, with four themed squares:

  • My First: Essential wardrobes for newborns.

  • Magic Party: Stylish attire for special occasions.

  • Be Sporty: Outdoor gear for active kids.

  • Snowtime: Winter fashion for snowy days.

This innovative urban format allows for an expanded range of exhibitors, including accessories, lifestyle products, and even food offerings.

Limited Editions and Exclusive Showcases

The centenary edition promises exciting debuts and exclusive collections:

  • Blauer Junior debuts a limited-edition down jacket featuring a Liberty print and another crafted from wax-coated "ripstop" fabric.

  • Roy Roger’s Kids unveils its Miniroy capsule collection, perfect for young denim enthusiasts.

Additionally, several brands will present limited-edition garments and accessories, including collaborations with the Family Circle market and Magil, designer for participants in Italy’s iconic Zecchino d’Oro children’s singing competition.

Experience the Magic of Fire

At the heart of the Fortezza’s central square, a digital bonfire will mesmerise visitors, with flickering flames brought to life through dynamic video projections and bold lettering. Inside the Lyceum, the immersive Fire-Eater experience blends fairy tales with reality in a multi-sensory spectacle, captivating attendees of all ages.

Fostering Connections: Fashion Speed Dates

For industry professionals, the third edition of Fashion Speed Dates offers an invaluable platform for focused, high-impact meetings between brands, buyers, and media—ensuring productive connections that shape the future of kidswear.
